Winston Deloney: My Favorite Motivational Books For Success

No doubt, many people who have been following my real estate blog consider me as a successful man with adequate knowledge on how to be successful in the real estate world. Though true, I didn’t just get here solely through my efforts. I was able to and still leverage some motivational books to achieve success.

Of all the motivational books for success that I have come across, the following stand out as my favourite;

Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor E. FranklOne of the reasons I prefer this book is because it tells a convincing story of how, as humans, we cannot entirely escape the downsides of life. But then, how we choose to respond to these downsides is what matters.

Victor takes the readers through his experience during the Nazi wars and how it built him to see challenges in all areas as surmountable. This book will help you appreciate the importance of ascribing meaning to life and building yourself for the challenges ahead.

Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life…And Maybe the World by William H. McRavenFor many of us, our life goal is to change the world. While this goal is good, in this book, William tells us that the major efforts we need to achieve this dream begin with simple efforts and how we prepare ourselves ahead by “preparing your bed.”

I learnt this lesson early in my career, and it has helped me focus on the little things that I do. This has cumulated to help me achieve what I have become today.

Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela DuckworthOne attitude that is common amongst all successful persons is the grit to push forward. In my years of experience, I have seen that no one succeeds without having the grit for success.

This book by Angela teaches you the importance of grit and how no never underestimate the power of persistence in your success journey.

Mindset: The New Psychology for Success by Carol S. DweckIf you have followed me closely, you would have discovered that, on success, I encourage people to have the right mindset.

This is because I have experienced the magic of the right mindset, which is why Carol’s book on mindset as psychology for success fascinates me. If you desire the right mindset to achieve success, this book is what I will recommend for you.
