    The Spanish City of Malaga in the Costa del Sol region is enriched in history. Malaga has seen many changes from the various civilisations that have past through the city and left their trace.
    The name Malaga originates from the term Malaka which means ‘fish salting place’ and was founded by the Phoenicians in 800BC.
    After being under Greek ownership for 70 years the area fell into the hands of the Carthaginians before being taken over by the Romans following the Punic Wars.
