A Reliable Home Business: Adsense Revenue-Sharing Sites? – By Carin Davis

If you’re into making money from home, you may have come across Adsense revenue-sharing sites. But what are they? Basically, Adsense revenue-sharing sites are networks where you can earn money from Adsense clicks, (the little ads that appear on a website). What happens is that the ads get rotated a certain number of times, to benefit both the network and you. You get credit for the clicks 60 percent of the time in many places such as Hubpages. They get credit 40 percent of the time.

Now, the advantages of such an arrangement are obvious. Since everything is taken care of in the Adsense revenue-sharing network you don’t have to manage your own website. This means you don’t have to worry about hosting costs or Web design, things that can be pretty annoying if you don’t know how to build your own site.

In addition to this, Google offers increased link-building. Once you start building on the network, it becomes important,as it helps to determine whether your Web pages are going to be seen. To accomplish ranking of your website on your own, SEO expertise would be necessary. This is in contrast to Adsense revenue-sharing sites, which usually already have the SEO taken care of.

However, do these advantages mean that Adsense revenue-sharing sites are a good model for home businesses? It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want the ability to build a quick SEO site, Adsense revenue-sharing networks work wonders because everything is already provided for you. But in case you desire the ability to make best use of your Adsense income, you will need to do things yourself. Why? If you want the ability to keep all your content in one place you can’t do that with Adsense sites. With Adsense revenue-sharing sites, the editors determine if your content is worthy enough. No matter how much work you do, if it’s not, it gets deleted.

On top of this, making things happen in your own way will allow you to retain all the money you receive. It’s not this way with Adsense revenue-sharing sites, where you lose a portion of your money to the network. This can get to be very annoying once you start earning hundreds of dollars.

So the final assessment is that Adsense revenue sharing sites fail in the area of being dependable home businesses. Sure, they take the difficulty out of building a website, but they also take away your element of control. And when it comes to Adsense, it’s this element of control that gives you the most money and security.

You may lose some control with rev sharing sites, but it is a decent way to make a side income. Your content can gain through piggybacking off of others, remaining on a fresh site, and exposure to community.

It’s also not a bad way to build some backlinks (whether you want the rev share or not).

Snipsly.com is built with an 80/20 split. Better than almost any other site.
