More personal than some other forms of marketing, this is also referred to as direct response marketing,. Some online channels of Direct Sales Marketing include: email, Internet banner ads and pay-per-click ads. May sound scary, but with some training it can be fun, and definitely advantageous!

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM): also known as Network Marketing. This is a form of marketing that compensates sellers for both the product they sell and the sales from people they have directed to the company. Many disparaging remarks have been made about MLM, but I have been involved in one since 1973, and the Lifestyle Freedom it has afforded has incredibly rewarding!

Those involved with MLM are usually rewarded on a commission basis, through a trickle- down effect: a customer base is expanded through MLM, whereby each marketer is granted a commission as the network expands. Successful MLM results in a number of people receiving royalties from the sales of one person. Successful MLM utilizes social networking mediums such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The danger is to use these to do too much ''advertising'' before making friends - and becoming genuinely interested in the people who participate in social networking.

Affiliate Marketing: this focuses less on building networks and more on driving traffic to websites, but is not too dissimilar from MLM. Affiliates make money from their marketing efforts for the visitors and/or customers (traffic) brought to various websites. Some common channels for Affiliate Marketing include: search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing and paid search engine marketing. This concept of revenue sharing is becoming increasing popular among Internet marketers.

These are only a few ways to tap into the world of Internet marketing. The best way to start making a solid secondary income is to begin a home-based online business, and Start Today!
