After the Lasik eye surgery, most patients¡¯ eye vision can keep stable after a months¡¯ healing. A few patients may need more time, and six months have been reported as the longest. Some patients may get a mild pain which should be treated by taking pills like aspirin. The white part of the eye is easy to be red or get blood shot which will go away in a few days.

In the healing process, you should pay more attention to protect your eyes. There are several things should be avoided for the first 2 to 4 weeks after the surgery. First of all, remember do not rub your eye at any condition, so does any heavy contacts. The flap needs at lest two weeks healing itself completely. If it is out of the right place, further surgery will be needed to replace the flap. It is better for a patient to stay at home to avoid high winds or windy conditions. If you feel dry of your eyes, watering your eyes will be helpful in the healing process. But remember swimming should be avoided during the first 4 weeks after Lasik eye surgery. For ladies, it is recommended that no makeup should be applied, not only those being used near the eyes.
