Weddings contain a lot of traditional elements. As such, you want to get the wedding etiquette, right on the night. There is not a long list of wedding etiquette you need to adhere to. However, knowing the basics will help you get the most out of the wedding celebrations.

Weddings are a tradition that stretches throughout humanities history. As such, over time, we have made certain elements as traditions. Wedding etiquette is one of those elements that have been formed over the years, to make a wedding - as we often think of it as.

Wedding etiquette is basically a set of rules and also customs, which set how to behave or do throughout a wedding. There are parts which apply to everyone involved and even guests!

For example, guests need to do several things, such as deciding whether to accept a wedding invitation and go to the wedding, buy a gift for the bride and groom, from the couples gift list, and also thanking the couple, and there parents for inviting you.

For the bride, the wedding day and the time right from the beginning of planning, requires quite a bit of effort from the bride. And it is fully understandable, considering that it is one of the most important days of her life.

Good etiquette for the bride is to consult both sets of parents about elements of the wedding. As it is an important occasion for them also, it can be a good idea to ask for their input. However, realize that ultimately the bride and groom have the final say, in decision making.

For the groom there are also parts to adhere to, if you want to get the wedding etiquette right. For example, the groom will need to choose and buy the engagement ring. It is also good etiquette to do as much as possible, to lighten the burden of wedding planning, that the bride has to do.

On the wedding day, it is a wise idea for the groom to get to the venue at least 20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Following the signing of the register, the groom walks back up the aisle with his new wife on the left, to begin the formal photographing session.

The bride and groom will also need to greet guests at the reception. It is good wedding etiquette for the groom to introduce his bride to friends and relatives, who have not met her before.

After bride's father makes his speech, the groom should thank the bride's parents for his new bride. It is also good wedding etiquette to thank the people who were part of organizing the wedding, and also toast the bridesmaids.

After all the speeches, it is on to the cutting of the cake. When that has completed, traditionally it is time for a dance. And the groom would traditionally invite the bride's mother to dance. Then the bride's father would take over, allowing the groom to dance with his bride.
