The Big Secret No Guru Will Tell You About Internet Marketing - By: Jim DeSantis

If you have been investigating Internet marketing for any length of time, you have noticed a pattern forming regarding what so-called Internet guru's will and won't tell you. They will tell you everything you want to hear whether it's true or not. They will tell you that making money on the Internet is the easiest thing in the world, so easy that you can do it while you're sleeping, so easy that their 12-year-old can do it, so easy that you can make money working just ten minutes a day, or even not working at all. I'm going to tell you the Big Secret they conveniently leave out.

Here is the Big Secret:

No matter what you're doing on the Internet... no matter what your program or your product is... no matter how fancy your website is... there is ONE thing that's going to determine whether you succeed or fail... and if you succeed, this ONE thing will determine to what extent you will succeed and how long it takes.

What is this ONE all-important factor that will make all the difference for you as you work to achieve success on the Internet? It is how well you learn to promote your web site. It's how well you drive traffic to your site. For me it's how well I drive free traffic to my 35 websites and blogs. You might think of it as advertising. How well you learn to advertise your web site is the key to your success.

Why don't the guru's come right out and say that? Because they know how difficult it is and how expensive it can be. They want you to focus on the rosy picture of the happy carefree life you'll lead when you're successful in their program. Just click that pay button and you're on your way to a life of unbelievable wealth and indescribably luxury! In short, they will tell you anything to get you to send them some money!

So why wouldn't they want to help you learn how to promote your website? They simply don't care if you fail. They just want your money and they get that when you buy! If they told you the truth, that you must learn how to promote your website or you'll fail with their new get-rich-quick scheme, you likely wouldn't buy.

Isn't that true? They know it, I know it, and you know it too! Really, if sellers told buyers what's really needed for on line success, most people would not become buyers.

Face it. Before you buy the next "latest and greatest" money making program, learn how to drive free traffic to your website. Otherwise you will continue to struggle and throw your money away. The only thing that matters is your ability to promote (advertise) your web site. If you're thinking of joining a program and there's no help available for you to learn how to promote your web site that means the owner isn't very concerned about your success. He wants your money and that's all he's interested in.

Do yourself a huge favor. No matter how long it takes, find a business online where the owner has provided everything you need to learn how to drive free traffic to your web site. It's the most important thing you can do to guarantee your success! Or, if you are willing to spend the time for your own education, seek out methods that show you how to get free traffic.

The best for driving free traffic are Article Marketing and Social Networking. Try those for starters. They cost nothing to implement and will, over time, generate free traffic to your website or blog.

What ever you do, remember this golden rule, write this down and stick it on your PC where you can see it every day - "No Traffic = Invisible Web Site = No Money!"
