The Benefits Of Taking Professional Coaching For Both Novice And Experienced Golfers - By: Don Saunders

Regardless of whether you are just a novice at golf or have been playing for a number of years, there will always be something new to learn or some skill for you to hone and there can be little doubt that the best way to achieve that is with the help of a professional coach.

The problem however is that a professional coach can be very expensive.

At the top end of the scale you may consider attending a golf school for an intensive course and immersing yourself for a full 7 days in learning or improving one or two specific aspects of your game. The cost will vary widely and depend upon the school you select and such things as the quality of its instructors and the range of training facilities provided by the school. In every case however the cost will probably be high and you can certainly think in terms of paying $1,000 to $2,000 or more for a course of this nature.

The next option you may consider is individual coaching with a local golf professional lasting perhaps one or two hours every day, or possibly only two or three times each week. This option is certainly one which is well worth thinking about as an alternative to enrolling at a golf school, however it will still be quite expensive, particularly if you find that you need to continue your regular lessons for any length of time.

So what about a less expensive choice?

An increasingly popular alternative these days is to learn the game by watching DVDs in the comfort of your own home and, before laughing at this idea, you may wish to think about the range of DVDs presently being made by a large number of very respected professional golf instructors and the growing number of golfers who are opting for this particular type of tuition.

Not only do DVDs permit a professional golfer to come into your home and take you through all aspects of the game in great detail and give you step by step exercises to follow yourself to master everything from how to improve your driving to how to hit the perfect draw shot, but the true beauty of working with DVDs is that it allows you to learn at your own pace and replay every lesson to your heart's content and pick up even the smallest of detail.

And possibly best of all is that your own individual library of golf DVDs is not going to cost you an arm and a leg.

Now, I do have to say that, if you are able to afford it, attending a golf school or personal one to one instruction with your local golf professional is almost certainly going to produce quicker and better results than trying to learn from DVDs. Instructional DVDs do however come in a close second and you certainly cannot beat them as far as price is concerned.
