Starting a Internet Business.? – This is How. - By: Cecil Heim

The easiest method to make easy money on the internet is to sell products. If not your own, then by selling other people's products for a commission.

If you are in the beginning stages of starting a internet business. You most likely do not have a product of your own. So I am going to get you started by selling other peoples products.

The first thing you will want to do is find a product to sell. For this I would recommend that you open an account with Click Bank. This is a good place to start and the service is free. Once your account has been confirmed. Do a bit of reading to get the basics.

Then the next step is to open an account with Google Adwords. You will need to have a credit card to create your account. Without Adwords you will not be able to get anywhere so the minimal setup costs are well worth it. You will need this account to advertise the products your are selling as well as Keyword Research.

When your Adwords account is set up. Do a bit of reading to get the feel of how the system works. But here are the basics. The Adwords system is keyword driver. You bid for the keywords you want to use for your ad. In other words. Let say someone does a search for widgets. If you have placed your ad and used widgets as one of your keywords. The chances are pretty good that you ad will be seen. However the popularity of the keyword will determine the bid amount to get the ad on page one of Google.

Now let’s find a product to sell. I recommend that for starters you find a product on a subject you know something about. Go to the market place in you ClickBank account and do a search on the subject of your choice. Have a look at the commissions paid as well as the conversion factors. I would not go for anything that pays less the $20. Make a list of about 5 possibilities.

Now you need to find out if the products have a chance of being viable. To do this we will be using Google Adwords Keyword tool. First thing, go to the keyword tool and enter the exact title of the product you want to sell and ask Google to suggest keywords.

Go through all the related keywords. What you are looking for are keywords that have more then a 1000 searches per month. And that do not have too much competition. Bare in mind that the higher the competition, the higher the minimum bid needs to be to get you ad on page one of Google. The estimated required bid will give you an idea if the keyword is usable or not.

But keep in mind that someone entering the search phrase “how to knit gloves” wants to know how to knit gloves. It is then reasonable to assume that out of every 100 clicks on your ad at least one sale should be made. And working on a 100% profit. It means that if the minimum bit is suggested at .10c you will break even on that one sale. Any additional sales are all clear profit.

What I have explained above does not sound as if you will make a lot of money. But do the above with 20 or 30 different products at $200 plus profit per product per month. Not too bad as a pastime.

Let’s continue. Now look at the other suggested keywords to find, on the same basis as above, keywords that closely describe the product. Include these keywords in your keyword list. You do not need 100’s of keywords. 5 or 6 that are closely related to the product that have a low minimum bid are ideal.

Once this is all done. You can now write the ad. If your product is "How to cook Beef". That would be the title of the ad. For the body of the ad. You could have a look at some of the ads that come up with your search term. Select the best one, but change it a bit to make it yours.

Job done. Run the ad. A word of warning though. In the world of Google Adwords. If you do not carefully monitor your expenses against profits. It could become a very expensive exercise. What you also need to know is which of your keywords are making you money and which are not. If this is done properly. Then starting a internet business could be a very pleasant experience.
