When checking out places to take the family in San Antonio, the first ideas that come to mind are the theme parks. San Antonio is the home to both Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. If your family is more into the hands on experiences, San Antonio has many kid friendly museums for you to visit. The Witte Museum will give your family hands on experience while learning and exploring the history of Texas. San Antonio also has UTSA’s Institute of Texan Cultures. This is an experience that you definitely will not want to miss. Here, you can experience true Texan culture with interactive activities for all ages. The San Antonio Children’s Museum is also another stop downtown that you don’t want to forget. In this museum, your family can explore a miniature version of San Antonio, explore caves much like that you would see in Texas, learn about science and technology or go on an exciting adventure. Another option is the Plaza Theater of Wax. This museum houses over 200 life like characters from all walks of life to check out. There is also Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum if your family is looking for something out of the ordinary. Here, you will see over 500 exhibits of strange and interesting things from around the world. Whatever you choose to do, there is definitely a museum for everyone in the family.
