Whether you stay at an island resort on the Georgia barrier islands, a five star hotel in the heart of Atlanta, or in one of the many North Georgia cabin rentals available, you are certain to find a variety of ways to have a fantastic time. After all, Georgia is state full of fun and adventure. You can explore winding mountain trails, quiet beaches, historic homes and a multitude of museums or simply sit back and watch the sunset as you sip a cold drink on the veranda of a stately bed and breakfast. The choices are numerous and all of them delightful.

You may choose to take a canoe excursion along the Okefenokee or charter a fishing boat and do some deep sea fishing beyond the coast of Savannah. Perhaps, you will load your backpack and explore some of Georgia’s best hikes along the Appalachian Trail or follow the Trail of Tears. If you love to study the past, you will find a variety of historic locations, Confederate memorials and museums, the Etowah Indian Mounds and many forts along the Georgia coastline.

If you are going to be in Atlanta, then don’t miss family friendly places like the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, Stone Mountain, Six Flags or Zoo Atlanta. Family favorites in the northwest region of the state include Lookout Mountain and Rock City. Should you be in the Columbus area, why not check out the Coca-Cola Space and Science Center with its interactive exhibits or the IMAX Theatre at Patriot Park.

This is but a smattering of opportunities for Georgia travel fun. Be sure to visit and explore as many of Georgia’s great places as possible. Those listed here will get you started, but you will want to customized your list of destinations to suit you and yours. But one thing is sure, the memories you make in Georgia are sure to be fantastic.
