Finding a way to free yourself from anxiety can be time consuming and frustrating. There is a lot of information on the topic but it tends to be scattered all over the place.

There are many techniques that can be utilized to manage your anxiety but every technique wonīt work for every individual and people certainly have their preferences for panic management. Finding a source that covers all of the information you need to know in one place is the challenge.

If youīre like I was, you are probably convinced that your problem is different, harder to deal with than other peoples. The traditional methods wonīt work for you and youīre not interested in trying new age things.

These responses are certainly natural; everyone tends to think of their own problems as unique or specific to their lives. Iīll tell you write now, your problem isnīt any greater than millions of other anxiety and panic attack sufferers. Thatīs hard to believe isnīt it?

That so many people could be dealing with the same problems and feelings you are. But itīs true! Panic and anxiety problems donīt tend to find their way into casual conversation, so youīre probably not aware that many of the people you interact with are probably dealing with the same type of problem you are.

Alright, a lot of people have this problem but what do you do about it? Well, finding your way out of anxiety is really just trial and error. There are many relaxation and positive thinking techniques that are designed to help you manage your anxiety.

Finding the combination of methods that works for you and makes you feel comfortable is the key. For many people, simply learning to control their breathing rate and depth can be a great comfort.

During a panic attack, your heart starts to race but your breathing also becomes faster and shallower, depriving your body of oxygen. By breathing deeply and evenly, from the abdomen, you are improving the oxygen circulation throughout your body. Not only will this have a calming effect but it will also help to prevent many of the other unpleasant sensations that accompany a panic attack.

Some of the many symptoms of a panic attack can be averted by simply restoring normal oxygen levels to your body. When your body is deprived of oxygen, blood rushes to your core, leaving your limbs with either tingling or numbness.

The shortness of breath also causes you to hyperventilate, your chest to tighten and serves to increase your anxiety. By avoiding these sensations, it can greatly alleviate your worry and either enable a much quicker recovery and less severe attack or avert it all together.

The secret to eliminating your panic attacks is not just controlling your physical body but also controlling your emotional state and mental thoughts.

Redirecting your negative, anxiety provoking thoughts into positive, affirmative statements will go a long way in assisting you to avoid panic attacks entirely.
