Eton College, Berkshire

One of the most expensive schools in the UK, and perhaps the most famous, is Eton. Its fees have recently topped £9,954 per term and are expected to rise even further. Eton is a British independent school for boys aged 13 to 18 and all the pupils who attend board. It is located in Eton, near Windsor and is north of Windsor Castle. The School is one of the original nine English public schools as defined by the Public Schools Act 1868. If you're keen on sending your child to Eton then make sure you're living in Berkshire!

Queen Ethelburga's College, York

This is the most expensive mainstream boarding school in Britain, charging £32,985-a-year for foreign sixth-formers. The school is located near Boroughbridge, which is situated north-west of York, a small thriving town which has been relatively unscathed by the recession. Local people are also well catered for, with a number of groups and local organisations including the town council and Chamber of Trade.

ACS International Schools, Surrey

ACS International Schools is a group of three schools in Greater London. The three campuses are located in Cobham, Egham in Surrey and also in the London Borough of Hillingdon. ACS International Schools was founded in 1967 to serve both local and international communities and approximately 2,400 students from over 70 nationalities are currently enrolled. The fees can reach up to £32,961 for boarders.

The fees for these educational establishments are undoubtedly not cheap, but with a high bill comes exceptional teaching quality.
