Natural light is always beneficial to the chicken's health. To get that you should plant your chicken coop facing the south side. If you can do that then the coop will receive plenty of fresh air and light as well.

In the winter, additional light source needs to be installed. The light source will provide the initial light and give the required heat for it. This electrical heat system will reduce the dampness and will keep the coop draft free. If you want to raise the egg production then you must implement the electrical light source. The light source should be placed to the ceiling of the coop so that proper light and heat can go to all the directions especially to the corners of the coop.

Level #5 – Egg tray and feeders:

In order to collect the eggs you should have an open tray system where you can access it easily. You always make sure not to disturb the lying area while collecting eggs. Feeder needs to be installed in a safe place so that the foods do not get dirty.
