Let Learning Begin With The LEGO Creator Game Series - By: Alex Ralbeck

When the LEGO toy manufacturer designs and creates a particular series of games and models they usually do it with the utmost attention to detail. The LEGO Green Grocer game series is no exception. They have paid careful attention to every detail of the grocery store as they have done with the other models such as the corner cafe and the fire brigade, so much so they you can literally create your own entire street with just these three models. In fact adults will have just as good a time designing and assembling the buildings as will the kids. They may want to even want to just display the finished model rather than let their children disassemble and redesign the building again and again, which of course is what it was created for in the first place.

Everything in this model can be moved around. The top three floors of the building can be taken off. In doing so you open up the inner rooms. On the ground floor is the grocery store itself. It is adorned outside with a white and blue awning. Looking inward you will find the vegetables, the fruits, bread bins and even a cash register. There is a refrigerated section and even a tiled floor within the store.

The detailing doesn't stop there. Careful attention has been paid to the apartments as well. Within the apartments you will find a refrigerator, a fireplace replete with the tools and even a bay window that looks out onto the street.

As you proceed up the stairs to the third floor, yes there are even stairs within the building, you arrive at the upper apartment and the roof terrace. Here you will find within the apartment an old style heater near the window and a grandfather clock. The roof top terrace is furnished with a grill, umbrellas, chairs and of course flowers.

The outside of the building features a fire escape with actual working ladders. There is access to a courtyard and door and windows abound everywhere. On the ground level there are working mailboxes that can be checked for mail. Under the staircase there is even a place for the mouse to hide, yes there is a mouse as well as a cat from which he has to hide. Let not forget the towns people, there are four of them to complete the production. As we proceed out onto the street itself, there's a lampost, light fixtures and a fire hydrant.

Everything here can be built and rebuilt to your accommodate your child's imagination. With over 2300 pieces in the complete set this will keep them and you if you decide to help occupied for endless hours. The set by step guide books that come with the green grocer explain each level of the building in detail. If you follow it to get started and only open each building level parts bag as they are called for, you will be all right. Otherwise the parts might become confused in the beginning. As the structure is created, it all becomes clearer. Start creating your own LEGO street today.
