Appearance. The earliest soft and light football boots in the history was made by Adidas firm. The shoes had important meaning in the history. From then on, soccer shoes were made according to this style. In 1958, most players put on Adidas's shoes, and Puma got a great success because of Pele and Eusebio. Puma King in 1968 and Adidas Copa Mundial in 1979 were best sellers in the world. We can see the brothers' contributions to soccer shoes.
Shock Absorption. In 1970s and 1980s, Umbro, Lotto, Diadora, Reebok, Asics and Mizuno came into market, and they got success. Nike, as the newest corporation, got an amazing success in the market. In 1978, air mattress was first used into shoes' making. Some manufacturers used carbon fiber to design shoes. Nike Corporation played a leading role on the shock absorption. It applied Zoom into their shoes. Puma designed shoes for Pires with Cell technique.
