RSA QLD courses are valid for three years and then another accredited certification must be completed. The course takes between four and five hours to complete either face to face, or online. The online advantage is the ability to leave the course and come back to it when time permits.

RSA QLD certificate aims to give employees the skills to deal with difficult and intoxicated customers, understand the legal responsibilities and ramifications of serving alcohol, ensure a safe environment for staff and customers, and generally improve the atmosphere of a venue. Attending a club or bar without fear of being attacked and assaulted is a big draw for patrons and should be one of the goals of the licensees. One must follow the rules in order to succeed in the world of the hospitality industry.
