Learn Affiliate Marketing - What Separates A Good Program From A Great Program? - By: Rory Aguilar

The real problem is you are competing with people from all over the world trying to do exactly the same thing. Some of these folks have been at it for 20 years. They are experts. They are going to take the lion's share of the money and leave you the crumbs. They have a 20 year head start. For that reason, you realize you need training. You realize you need help. You realize, in any business you need to make an investment if you are going to do business at all.

Think of the typical bricks and mortar store. To start a business you need to buy products, you need to rent a store, you need furniture or displays and you better leave some money for advertising because if no one knows you exist, you probably aren't going to sell much. Minimum investment is probably at least $3000-$5000. Heck, just your rent and deposit is likely to run you $2000 or more.

To sell someone else's product on the Internet will cost you about $10 for a domain name and $5/mo for web hosting.

So I gotta ask you. How serious are you about starting a business on the Internet? Would you invest $2500? If you aren't at least that serious, you need to walk away now. You'll be wasting $5/mo and probably a bit more as you fumble around with different ideas that will probably never pan out.

Why not do it right from the jump?

This means get some training. The best place to get this training is by someone like we mentioned above. If you can find someone who is already making a living on the Internet and convince them to let you watch, you could learn this thing in a few weeks. Once you have the system down, the sky's the limit, as they say.

There are some gurus that will take you on and give you guidance. They are pricey. It's not uncommon to hear rates of $10,000 to $20,000. Some give weekend seminars for $2,000 a head. That's may seem high but remember most college kids are paying $100,000 for a 4 year degree. But times are tough and it's a little hard for most people to come up with $10,000.

There is another way that's much cheaper and sometimes equally effective. That's to find a star on the rise. There are a lot of people making a 6-figure income on the Internet. If they get a reputation as an "Internet Marketing Guru" a 7-figure annual income is achievable. So look for a guy or gal who is trying to build a reputation by offering a great training product at a reasonable cost.

Another thing to look for is a video course. This is the 21st century. If some guy is offering you an e-book, he is trying to make a quick buck. Give it a pass.

New technology allows anyone to record their computer screens. It's relatively easy to do an over-the-shoulder approach to teaching. That means you can watch them do their chores on your computer screen just like you were sitting right next to them.

Videos are great because you can watch them over and over.
