Are you reaching your potential? In this article, we discuss the steps you need to take to start putting yourself in the position of attracting others who want to follow what you are doing. Picture the leader or mentor you are attracted to and/or following. It’s not about becoming that person, rather examine the qualities they have and what is needed for you to emulate those qualities. Their "attractive" qualities are the essence of what you need to strive to attain.

What steps will you need to take to get started? If being a mentor seems to be a stretch for you, just realize that you do have it in you. So the first steps you’ll need to take and perhaps the most difficult are “seeing” yourself in their position or exceeding their accomplishments. Did you know that you have the capacity to leverage talents in your own life that will attract others to you? If not, you need to get to work on this. You'll above all need to internalize this belief, e.g., that you can be anywhere you want to be in life.

Actually, the barriers are in your own mind. In addition, desire plays a part before any progress getting what you want can begin. Start by developing an image of the way you’d like things to be. What level do you want you business to reach in the near, mid and longer terms? See it coming to pass and reinforce through use of affirmations. This applies to your personal life as well.

Be innovative and do whatever it takes, in order to see and believe enough in yourself that the outcome is inevitable. If you’re finding this to be a difficult exercise, just realize that it will be worth it and until you get this right, you’re limiting your own progress. One mechanism that can be effective is to find a way to meditate individually, or with a group session, imagining where you want to be. Capturing your thoughts on paper, or in a journal, can be helpful and expose your deepest desires. Many people are amazed at what comes out in the process, and even more by the eventual life outcomes.

Following your dreams exposes your greatness. Delay this process at your own expense of limiting yourself in reaching where you really want to be. Don’t expect this to be easy and be aware that there may be some opposition. But the effort will be worth it as you begin seeing your own true destiny played out before your very eyes.
