Knobles Theme Park is it the Best?

Having traveled to most of the theme parks over the years, Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens (Florida and Williamsburg VA) Hershey Park, Dollywood in TN just to name a few I still find Knobles to be the most enjoyable of them all.

Knobles may not be quite as big as some of the previously mentioned but this amusement park will keep you busy for an entire day. It has shows and many rides for adults and children to keep you hopping all over the park. It is never over crowded to the point that you have to stand in line for hours just to get on a ride or wait for a quick snack. I believe the reason for this is it is one of the world’s best kept secrets until now.

What makes this amusement park so great? Well the first thing is you can stay at the camp grounds for a really reasonable price if you like camping. They also offer cottages if you like camping but don’t like roughing it in a tent. The camp ground boarders the park so there is no driving to get into the park. In fact there is no charge to go into the park at all, so you can walk in and out at will and that alone should make you want to go there more than any other park on planet earth

What did you say about no charge to get in? Do you mean I do not have to pay between $60.00 to $100.00 dollars a day to get in? The answer is yes it is free to get in, and get this you do not even have to get ripped off for a parking fee that is free as well. Does this sound too good to be true, what about the costs for all the rides and refreshments?

After arriving at Knobles and to our pleasant surprise finding out that we did not have to pay any parking fees and being able to drop the family off directly in the park before parking the car gave me the feeling I was going to have a great time. My excitement was not short lived, after finding out that you can get your hand stamped for the entire day for every ride and show for only $29.95. Or you could buy a book of tickets for only $9.00 which was good for about 10 to15 rides depending what you wanted to ride

We were planning to stay for about three to four hours, so we chose just to get the tickets this time around. Having helped built a few wooded rollercoaster’s in my day, this was one of our first stops. They had a great selection of them so I limited myself to just 2. We also had my 6 year old granddaughter along so we put her on a bunch of her favorite rides like the merry-go-round, spinning tea cups, bumper cars and a few others.

When we finally took a break from doing the rides we decided to have a little snack. To our amazement after checking the different menus we found that the prices for the different foods they offered were really reasonable. In fact they were down rite cheap compared to other parks we had visited.

You could get ice cream or a large shake for $2.25, an entire super large pizza for about $9.95 and they even had spaghetti dinners for $7.50. We even went and bought an entire pound of the best rocky road fudge I have ever had for only $9.95.

Well I am not going to reveal anymore about this wonderful amusement park, it would be like telling the end of a great movie before you got the chance to see it. To me it brought me back to a time in the past when the people who built these places had in mind a place to let people escape the real world for a day and were not totally motivated about ripping people off for every dime they could. And in closing I would have to say that I really do believe this is one of the world’s best kept secrets, because if more of the world did know about this place it would be that full you would not even be able to get in at all.
