When I think about my childhood, there are many things that I remember with great pleasure. That was a time when I didn’t think about money, how am I going to pay all the bills, how am I going to make my mortgage and all the other worries that fill an adult’s day. The most important thing of my childhood was having fun and what could I do in order to make that happen.

Back in those days we didn’t have computers and internet, we made friends a lot faster because we needed companions to play with. All we did during our vacations was wonder around from place to place trying to find something out of the ordinary that we could engage in. And most of the time we found it and we had a lot of laughs in the process.

One of the coolest things that I had as a child was a Nintendo gaming console. It was not the advanced piece of equipment you can find in stores today, with all kinds of features and technology encompassed in a very small package, but it was the coolest thing ever back in the day. And some of the greatest games I played on it were jeux de Mario.

Children today might not know about jeux de Mario, the small little guy that jumped around collecting coins and mushrooms, battling fire-breathing dragons and trying to reach big castles in order to save the princess, but this was an important part of my childhood.
