Recently, Green Building concept and Green Building Education has grown tremendously. Construction of Green Buildings is a priority, as it addresses number of environmental issues: mitigating climate change, reducing toxins in the environment, reducing waste (both solid and hazardous), managing storm-water run-off and more. Green Buildings are the jobs for the future as there are many opportunities available mainly for engineers, architects, carpenters, electricians and plumbers as this is one of the most upcoming areas, and green building jobs will undoubtedly boost the economy while not further imposing itself on the environment.

Green buildings reap immense benefits over time, bringing about a gradual change and development of a greener future. Whenever kilowatts of energy is saved, CO2 is saved and the energy wastage is eliminated. Sometimes, making major retrofits, during green building construction can help build a much secured and healthier environment.

The jobs in green building region are not only limited to selected obvious areas – architecture, engineering, but also other specific fields like a pipe fitter, a sheet metal worker, cement masons, the iron workers, electricians and plumbers; all working on making buildings more energy efficient.

Built lumber, in most situations, is awfully toxic and shouldn’t be used. Many of these contain man-made formaldehyde, which when released pollutes the air, making the house unhealthy to breath. Traditional insulation materials particularly contain formaldehyde which give way to breathing issues, revulsion and plenty of other health worries. Green building education highlights the need of using construction materials that promote green practices and designs. Moreover, it is essential to make use of skylights and glass doors with double or triple pane glass, high quality windows and use energy-efficient lighting.
