A very popular livelihood that you can attain in just two years of college can be done by finishing one of the physical therapy assistant programs at your disposal. One of these can be completed at various community colleges, junior colleges, small colleges and universities.

Physical therapy assistants will be needed in larger and larger amounts for the foreseeable future. The baby boomers are turning into a huge aging population, many of which will lead physical therapy assistants.

This profession also plays a big role in sports and sports revenue is an all-time high! The couch potato who decides to "work out" is an accident waiting to happen. Most individuals that are injured will wind up dealing with a physical therapist in one way or another.

Some physical therapy assistants have begun earning a primary or secondary income as “personal trainers”. Some began noticing that the injuries sustained that they were treating actually came from improper advice from personal trainers.

A misdiagnosis of someone I know took six months to catch. It has now come to the point where after a proper diagnosis was performed my friend was referred to a physical therapist.

Whether it be a car accident, a sports injury, and occupation related accident or injury, most of these individuals will at some point be referred to a physical therapist.

Whether it be in hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home visitation the physical therapy assistant has a major part to play in recovery.

As the average physical therapy assistant salary is $45,000 a year you can see why more and more people are being drawn to this profession.

One of the best return on investment education opportunities out there.

The physical therapy assistant programs in various colleges and universities are extremely tough. You are completely trained in a new profession from scratch in two years!

There is a lot of lab work as well as clinical work involved. An excellent way to learn something is by performing the various actions with an instructor watching you and correcting your mistakes as they happen. This is definitely the way to go in the learning something. You will learn by doing.

local area and visit the colleges. You can then make an informed decision regarding this career.
