Is Decaffeinated Tea Right for You? - By: Tamar Slay

Drinking tea has always contributed to the overall health of individuals. In fact, there are some people who take tea everyday to prevent some diseases from coming forth or to lessen the symptoms of already existing diseases. However, it is not all the time that the healthful benefits of tea work.

There are some individuals who normally do not have the tolerance to caffeine and considering that tea has caffeine, it does not often do well for them to drink tea. The most obvious remedy to this is to drink decaffeinated tea.

Decaffeinated teas are those that have undergone certain processes in order to remove caffeine from it. Although no process is perfect to remove caffeine one hundred percent, majority of it is said to be gone after undergoing the procedure.

The little amount of caffeine left in decaffeinated tea is usually just enough to be taken in by most individuals. Some people that can adapt to the diminutive amount of caffeine are said to have benefited from the healthful effects of tea in general. The body now absorbs the antioxidants that tea brings to the body without any contra-indications. Thus, the individual feels the nourishing and vibrant life that fills the body by drinking one cup of decaffeinated tea.

There are some people however, that cannot simply adapt to any caffeine even in just small amounts like that found in a decaf tea. Some actually feel headaches, restlessness, dizziness and a loss of fine motor control. In severe cases people who have extremely low tolerance on caffeine suffer from insomnia and rapid breathing.

While some people actually resist any amount of caffeine, those who welcome it into their system feel more relaxed and have better thought processing. Some even consider decaffeinated tea as some sort of their elixir, a substance which makes them feel really well. In fact, people who usually need to stay up late most of the time, drink decaf tea instead of coffee knowing the health benefits they would get.

Thus, in order to be on the safe side when it comes to caffeine consumption and mostly to feel relaxed and not in distress, decaffeinated tea is highly recommended. The health benefits may not be apparent after a day, but the long term effects will always be.
