Iridology - Diagnosing Disease by Looking Into Your Eyeballs - By: Jess Lawson

Pet Iridology

Iridology for pets is the same as iridology for humans: the eye is used to look for the state of Fido's, Fluffy's or Rover's health. Iridologists claim that as a result of studying the markings of an animal's eye - may it be a dog, cat, horse and even rabbit - they can detect medical problems future, past and current. Other benefits of seeing an iridologst before you see a vet, as per trained pet iridologists, involve:

Pinpointing the actual problem. Often pet owners come to mind about a certain animal, but are unable to figure out what exactly is wrong due to their pet's lack of speech and inability to converse fully. Iridologists claim they are able to intervene and spot the health issue for animals who can't speak up for themselves.

Notifying owners to past problems. Pets who are produced from shelters or pounds often have no accompanying medical historical past. Pet iridologists claim they are able to let the owners be informed on their animal's past, and therefore manage potential illnesses better.

Getting a much better breed. Assessing the iris of animal's eye is something a tuned pet iridologist claims is effective in determining an animal's deficiencies and strengths, which are generally vital when deciding when to breed or not necessarily.

Maintaining your animal's health. Iridology can certainly help both when a problem occurs, they claim, even though a regular preventative check-up to keep your pet healthy and happy.

Keeping behavior at bay. Often pet owners are flummoxed when an animal's habit changes for seemingly virtually no apparent reason. Iridologists claim they can help to find the root of the problem.

If you believe that you - or your canine - could benefit from iridology, there is no shortage of people out there willing to take your money in exchange for a quick look at your eyeball. But most scientists as well as people in the healthcare profession classify iridology for a pseudoscience, saying that it has no real basis in any respect.

In truth, in scientific tests the father of modern-day iridology : Bernard Jensen - failed to pinpoint which patients experienced kidney impairments, when asked to identify the eyeballs of 143 different girls. Other iridologists worldwide scored equally poorly when asked to distinguish which patients had health conditions such as gallbladder disease, ulcerative colitis and heart disease - by examining their own irises.

While iridology can be a bit of fun, second hand smoke is that some people will require it seriously and become unnecessarily frightened by the bogus diagnosis. If you have trouble with a particular part to your body, you'd be better off having that part of your body examined by the medical professional, rather than having an iridologist stare for your eyes. It just doesn't sound right - scientific or otherwise.

The diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy inside early stages of the following complications can control the severe consequences which might be inflicted by the disease. So in order to help diagnose retinopathy in diabetics it is strongly recommended that the patients will need to have an annual screening on their eyes.

For this a national screening (and testing) programme for diabetic retinopathy has been set up by that Department of Health. These screening programmes are a part of patient education in online pharmacy education and counselling.
