Burning of Washington in the early part of the 19th century was one of the most abhorring acts the British carried out when they gained strength to show revenge after the American War of Independence. The White House building has stood for almost 210 years in 2010, as its initial construction was completed back in 1800. The White House is also amongst one of the most replicated buildings in the form of souvenirs, and holds high value as a tourist attraction for all who come from various parts of the world.
