Kanas Lake

Located at the north of Burqin County, Kanas Lake which means “beautiful, rich and mysterious” in Mongolian is a typical alpine lake on Altay Mountain with an elevation of 1,374 meters. The lake takes on different colors with the change of weather and seasons. The lake takes the shape of falcate with 6 platforms projecting inward. Every platform has its own legend.

Keketuohai National Geological Park

Keketuohai National Geological Park, the head of Irtysh River, is located at the northeast of Fuyun County in Altay area. Taking an area of 619 square kilometers, Keketuohai National Geological Park is made up of two parts including Keketuohai and Kalaxianger spots. Keketuohai occupies an area of 562.5 square kilometers and Kalaxianger is 56.50 square kilometers. Keketuohai is the only national geological park which takes typical deposit and mine as the main landscape. Irtysh River tumbles through Keketuohai from east to west. Granite peaks with the shapes of pyramid, quaquaversal and bell stretch hundreds of kilometers along the river.

Multi-colored Bay

Situated at 35 kilometers northwest of Urumchi, Multi-colored Bay in Gobi desert, a colorful wonderland, is famous for its imposing view as well as natural treasure. Multi-colored Bay, also called multi-colored city, takes the shape of a city with an area of 3 square kilometers. The hillocks take on different colors of crimson, yellow, orange, green, graphite, celadon, ashen, etc. The bay is characteristic with the hot spring which is the only spring in desert in China. Hot spring in fact is a big swimming pool with the low temperature of 40℃.

Jiang Braque

Jiang Braque in Kazakh means the source of holy water. Jiang Braque is endowed with picturesque natural scenery by the unique geographic location. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. The most beautiful time is in June and July when the wild flowers blossom. So the best time to visit Jiang Braque is June and July.
