Far across the north the country is crowned with the Himalayan range. It is here that one can visit the cold desert called Ladakh. Call its desert for its geographical features, but, the land is wrought with the colorful bloom of Buddhist culture. It is here that some of most ancient Buddhist monasteries are situated. It is wonderful to find that faith rules the land even in this era of disbelief and doubt. As one travel across North India, beautiful hill stations, lush green valleys, towering mountain peaks and serene atmosphere seems to create a different world altogether. As promised one gets to experience variety in all the different elements of nature. As one shifts towards places like Rajasthan, Kutch and Gujarat, the weather God seems to be rude enough. It is here in these arid lands that one finds the magnificent forts and palaces left behind by the rulers of land. In this part of the world life is struggle against the forces of nature. Typically known for its imprints of royal lifestyle, the land produces mind blowing ornaments, embroidery and handicrafts. They are revered by tourists from across the world.

Shift towards North East and feel the freshness of lush greenery and gurgling waterfalls. Variety is in the typically large collection of different kinds of flora and fauna spread across the region. It is interesting to explore the lifestyle of native population. They have tribal origin and till date love to live in the closet of their own culture and tradition. States like Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram present life in one of its primitive forms.

India is the land of sages. Divinity is in air and pilgrimage is an important part of the culture. Make a trip to the holy cities of Haridwar, Varanasi, Rishikesh and Kailash Mansarovar, the purity of the land touches the heart with its divine stroke. Spirituality forms the basis of life. Life is dedicated towards the higher truth or the almighty. ‘Dev Bhumi’ as India is known to the world is till in keeping with its year’s of tradition. As one visit the numerous holy shrines spread across the length and breadth of the country, and sees the unaltered faith on spirituality, one feels a reinforcement of faith towards religion. The most beautiful part is that it is not limited to any particular religion but amalgamates a number of them. A pilgrimage tour is an ideal choice for people who want to know India and its soul.
