Indian ERP companies were primarily meant and designed for the SME market, although they catered to the larger corporations too. But, the focal point of Indian ERP companies was the SME segment, which was efficient and affordable.

Also the advent of web-based ERP applications really brought in a huge amount of relief to the people who developed and implemented ERP’s as well as the customer who used these ERP’s. This was because there was no reason to install huge amount of software at the client site. All that was required was a server which was to be installed at the client site with the ERP loaded into it. Also, the client was always in constant touch with the developer and any problem could be rectified instantaneously online.
