There are many ways to increase privacy at home and the best ones will vary for different people. Keeping things such as your email address, mailing address and phone number out of the public domain will mean that you don’t find your home bombarded by cold calls, junk mail and potential scams.

Ultimately, privacy isn’t about shutting yourself away from the world, but instead it is about having the ability to control exactly how much of the outside world you allow in, so make sure the steps you take offer flexibility and leave the control in your hands.
