If your a member of Netflix then over 12,000 Movies and TV shows are waiting to be watched right now! The service available to existing netflix and Xbox Live members allows you to watch internet TV Instantly and for free.
Netflix, currently the largest online movie rental service in the world, has announced that its members can view thousands of movies and TV show streams instantly onto TV routed from the Xbox 360 video game console. The Xbox 360 is the latest of a growing number of Netflix ready hardware boxes, however the Xbox 360 is the first game console that allows users to view movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix to the TV. There is no extra monthly fees for Netflix members who also have membership to Xbox LIVE Gold.
Netflix members simply add movies and TV episodes from a growing library of more than 12,000 choices to their instant Queues at the Netflix Web site. Those choices are automatically displayed on the TV screen via the Xbox 360 and, after selection, begin playing very quickly and within 30 seconds time.
Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Leslie Kilgore said:- “This is an important and exciting moment for Netflix and Xbox. We believe the New Xbox Experience — with thousands of choices available to be streamed instantly from Netflix as one of its key enhancements offers consumers a great at home entertainment option and provides terrific value as a holiday gift idea.”
Netflix also said it is taking the first step in instantly streaming movies and TV episodes in high definition with the introduction of approximately 300 HD choices that will play with standard definition audio via the Xbox 360. The company said it intends to increase the number of HD choices available and will eventually add multi-channel audio. Classic, adventure, musical, foreign and comedy movies now available to watch instantly in high definition include “La Vie en Rose,” “Flawless” and “Heroes.”
Existing Netflix members are able to rent from a selection of more than 100,000 titles on DVD and watch instantly movies and TV show streams from an ever expanding library of titles on PC and Mac computers, as well as via TV via a broadband connected Netflix ready hardware devices available from Netflix’s many partners.

ITV has given its catch up tv service a makeover and name change after 18 months online.
The new service will be known as ITV Net Player and lets viewers watch ITV shows via the internet for 30 days after broadcast on standard TV. ITV commented that in branding and marketing communication around programming intended for the UK, the player will be branded as “ITV Net Player” and referred to as the “ITV Network Player”.
Ben McOwen Wilson, the director of online at ITV, said, “The new logo is part of our aim to create a recognizable and consistent brand for video on demand content across the web and TV. It is part of our overall ambition to make our content as widely available for audiences through whichever platform suits them best.”
The change in image is thought to have come about as ITV take the online TV market more seriously having seen the runaway success of its rival the BBC iPlayer. The iPlayer began broadcasting BBC One and BBC Two live on its online TV player.
