INVOICE MANAGER - By: Tom Thompsons

VOB stands for DVD Video Object. This contains the multiplexed Dolby Digital Audio and MPEG-2 Video that enable sound and picture for a DVD object.
MPEG format is a series of video standards defined by the Moving Picture Experts Group. There are versions available like MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MPEG-7, and MPEG-21. The versions MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 are still under development. But the other versions are worldwide accepted for their picture quality and video experience.
Follow the instructions below to convert the VOB files.
1. Insert the DVD with the content in VOB format
2. Use the explore option to see the contents of the file. This helps you to back out the conversion at any moment. Once the selected file is available, save it on a new folder.
3. Right click the file and rename it
4. Take care to rename it using the extension as MPEG. A warning will pop up that says that conversion will result in loss of data. This is true since the quality cannot be accurate. Click ok to proceed. The file has been converted.
With specific software like iSkysoft follow the steps given below:
1.Download VOB to MPEG converter and run the program
2.Add the video files that need the convert. Alternatively drag and drop the required files on to the program
3.Under the format option enter or choose one of the options for conversion. Generally all the options are versions of MPEG. Select the one that’s most suitable to your needs.
4.Select the destination folder to save your converted file.
5.Click the convert button to start conversion. It takes longer for bigger sized files.
Options like crop and trim are also available to customize the effects. The optimized effects will be to trim or crop or adjust the already existing images according to the need. Extraction of just audio is possible from video files also which is exclusive to certain software. Images can be captured by using a snapshot button that helps to even preview the snaps and delete them and retake them if you don’t like them.
This works on Windows NT/2000/2003/XP and also Windows Vista. Or another option would be to add the file, load the DVD, and select the files that need the conversion and clicking ok. Care must be taken to select the proper output format to enable proper conversion. It should be remembered that MPEG in turn has many internal formatting options. Any settings can be done here before starting the conversion.
