How to have patience when you are looking for a job? - By: Corina

In this tough economy it's hard to find a job for anyone. So many unemployed people are giving up their job search because they don't have any patience nor beleive that they will find something. Looking for a job can be hard and stressful. Being unemployed is something considered embarrassing by society, so hopefully this recession will open people's mind, and people won't judge each other for being out of work. Let's be compassionate and understanding toward each other.

Some people consider unemployed people lazy and negative about it, and it's wrong. Maybe someone is lazy and would rather do drugs and lay on couch, while most people WANT to work and want to take care of their families. Recession is a lesson for everybody else, not just for those who have hard times. It's a lesson for us to be more aware of those around us and help each other if we can. People don't have to have the largest house and latest car to be happy. People need necessities and true relationships. It's easy to be popular and have friends when everything goes well in your life but people need to be good to each other even during hard times.

Look around you and listen to those who have needs. Maybe someone need your help and will appreciate anything you provide them with. We all want to be appreciated, so let's be nice and give appreciation to each other. If you are looking for a job and can't find one, don't get discouraged. It's easier to say than do. Keep your faith alive, learn something valuable in situation you are in. Learn to give love to each other even if you don't have anything else and don't get angry and discouraged.

Why you shouldn't get angry even during tough times? Sometimes people feel they have right to be angry, because they are affraid if they won't, something worse could happen to them. Angry is kind of an alert state that people put up for themselves to be safe.

Be patient with yourself and others. Not having a job right now is not the worst thing that can happen to someone. Be glad that you are alive on this Earth, that you can walk and talk because many people can't even do that. Find something good in your situation and it will carry you through the hardest times. Don't disconnect yourself from others, don't avoid people, someone will understand you or someone will go through the same that you are going through right now. Be open to new opportunities. Just because one door is closed, something else could be opened for you though. Encourage yourself and encourage others. Talk to someone and get some help. Keep trying and keep believing your best days are ahead of you.
