A Little Fishing History

How to Use Fishing Lures

Not to bore you further, let us proceed to the main topic of how to use lures. Lures as its name suggests are the contraptions tied to the rods to bait the fish.

These lures are often made of rubber, plastic, metal or wood.

Since these materials are not appealing to the fish, you should make the fish think that it is food for them. Constantly move the rod to make the lure change direction and make the fish think it is really food for them. Least I forget, you should attach your lure at the end of the string of your rod.

The Different Types of Lures

There are different kinds of lures for the different kinds of fish you want to catch. There’s the plug, that’s made to look like and move like a real small fish. Spoons on the other hand are sheet metal colorfully shaped like tiny fish.

The Best Lures

Most fish like lures that look like minnows or crawfish. Bass on the other hand like spinnerbaits, crankbaits and plastic worms. Saltwater fish, pike and trout are more attracted to shinny metal lures.

With these in knowledge in mind you can now start fishing. Be sure to put on some sun block while you are out fishing.
