No longer do you have to worry yourself with cumbersome 35mm cameras and film canisters to get good shots. When you're ready to get serious about photography, you should get yourself a good digital camera.

The first thing you need to do is committing to an amount that you want to spend. It's very easy to get carried away once you start looking at all of the optional accessories and upgrades. Go with something that has decent resolution or you may as well just go back to your disposable camera. Get a camera that will give you the quality picture that you can be proud of.
