In times of today, credit reports have started to play a huge role in all our lives. They keep a record of all our financial activities and a list of all of those who have a relationship with our personal finances. They also show our repayment activities and the downfalls such as late payments, missed payments, excessive debt and so on. Credit reports are what defines our credit worthiness and would determine if we deserve a loan or not. There are several ways you can ruin your credit report, either you avoid them for a clean slate or you do them if you want trouble.

Don't pay bills on time. By making late payments and not meeting your deadlines, your creditors will ensure that they end up on your report, making you look bad and irresponsible with your finances. To make matters worse, you can ignore online wonders like online bill pay which would only help keep you organized and make it easier to make payments monthly.

Next, don't review your credit report. This is an excellent way to ruin your scores because you wouldn't know what is going on with it and how to make things right. Reading reports once a year can be as dull as ever that it doesn't matter if it is free. The government's free credit report program is to help you build scores; now you don't want to do that do you.

Aside from that, you can use revolving credit without watching your limits. Now this would really mess up your scores and reports. Revolving credit is an open-ended credit like your basic credit cards. You can spend and spend without really worrying that your bills will pile high and collector calls will start coming in.

For those collector calls and creditors that would start calling you for terrible credit reports, you could invest in an answering machine and screen your calls. Why bother fixing your records when you are trying to ruin it right? So leave your callers to loud bleeps, and annoying machines.

In conclusion, there are many ways to ruin your credit report and many ways to fix them as well. Follow the above and you may find yourself in deep ends, do the complete opposite and you'd be off to a fine financial standing.
