How to Resolve “Invalid Data” Error in Microsoft Windows - By: jacob Luis

There are some Windows users who do not know about the slipstream. This is actually a fix, upgrade or enhancement to the operating system without creating new version to identify its changes. Cause

This problem occurs due to the protection issues in Microsoft Windows registry and could take place with almost all types of drivers (specifically SCSI drivers and sound cards are reported).

Solution

In order to sort out this problem and perform Data Recovery, follow underwritten steps:
Click Start button.
Go to Run and type Regedit and press Enter key. It will open Windows registry editor.
Locate below registry sub key in registry editor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetENUMPCI
Open every folder and find “DeviceDesc” that matches the hardware which you are installing.
Right click “VEN_xxxx” for the device and select permissions and select Allow for complete control. Close registry editor and continue with the installation process.
