How to Prepare Your Business for ISA Accreditation - By: Joshua Green

Do you want your small business to become a reputable brand one day? If you have this vision, you should seek the accreditation from the International Standards Authority (ISA). This group is your key to get ahead of your competitors. For your business to be accredited, you must contact the international group. Contacting ISA is convenient, since it has various branches throughout the country.

You must prepare your business before contacting ISA. The accreditation is a one shot deal; if your business fails to come close to its standards, you will wait for a long time before the next ISA visit. You must perform management quality analysis, output analysis, product analysis, environment analysis and documentation.

Management Quality Analysis

The main issue here is how involved is the management in business processes. You must see to it that each management member has a vision and a set of plans to achieve such vision. If your management is visionless, allot at least three days for strategic planning. Ask them to write down and declare their vision to the employees. Ask them also to jot how they intend to meet that vision.

Output Analysis

Each department must meet their certain goals. If your departments do not have goals yet, make sure that you include these in your strategic planning. You should also list down points of improvement for each department. Your business output is good if both employees and customers are satisfied.

Product Analysis

Quality begins with the raw materials and ends with the distribution. Your business product is considered good if meets the esd 20:20 certification standards. These standards cover the proper way of processing, testing and packaging of products.

Environment Analysis

How friendly is your office to workers and community residents? Your business environment is good if it meets the ISO 9001 requirements. The ISO 9001 emphasizes the employee's right to a safe working environment. It also emphasizes the resident's right to community protection.

Documentation

The only way the management, output, product and environment analysis can be performed is if there is proper documentation. If you have internal auditors, consider yourself lucky. Otherwise, external auditors would do. Auditors will determine how far your business is in meeting esd 20:20 certification and IS0 9001 standards.
