Whatever the field you are belonged to, raising your productivity is always your aim. Often you have heard your successful ancestor saying that being productive is to stop being productive altogether. Most of you don’t even comprehend this exactly; it simply means to give yourself a break from work for sometime so that you start your work again with fresh mind and energy. Being workaholic is not the right way to achieve goals; you need to keep a balance between your work and your life. Your body need rest to work properly, if you think that the relaxing time in your life is almost nonexistent then this article is for your. This article focuses on how you can become out of your workaholic mode and keep a balance between your work time and your rest or relaxing time.

Vacation

Never let your work to overpower you in any case. The over burden of work will sometimes cause you mental illness. Your health is all-important to take vital decisions of your business. The best thing you can do to keep yourself free from work stress is to go on vacations. But make sure that your vacation trip is free from all sorts of distractions. For this, you have to keep yourself away from your cell phone, pagers, beepers, computers or anything that distract your mind. Cut off yourself from the outer world completely for sometime in order to relax your mind. If you want to go out on vacation then leave all the things that might distract you back at home. Enjoy your time free from emails, papers, phone calls etc.

My Time

Spending some time in privacy is all-important for soundness of your mind. Always spare some time for you in daily routine to keep your mind fresh and healthy. You can do anything for that as per your liking. You can read books or you can watch television, even if you like to play video game goes for it. This will take the work tension out of your mind and you will feel better. This will not require much of your time, two or three hours more than enough to relax yourself. You can also sit in a quiet room on a comfortable chair with your eyes closed to have some tension free moments of the day.

Work Separately

If you are the one who work at home, then the best thing you can do is to choose that part of the home, which is far away from the family area for your work. Set up your office away from the family area to avoid mixing up. It is important for both your family and for you to have a clear distinction between your work time and your family time.

Learn to Say “No”

Learn to say “No” to your boss or colleagues in over occupied conditions. Make them realize that you are already occupied with work and are not in position to take more work.
