Just about every woman is crazy about having lots of nice footwear. No matter how many different pairs of evening shoes she already has, there is always enough space for those lovely new ones. It is something that ninety-nine percent of men just do not understand when it comes to the fairer sex. What is it with women and shoes? There seems to be a strange connection which verges on the mystical...

Well, perhaps it is because women (on the whole) take more pride in their appearance than men do. Whilst many men are happy to sit at home watching the football or to go down to the pub with their mates, a lot of women would rather walk around town looking at new shoes or clothes. They seem to get a great deal of enjoyment, not just by spending money, but from the whole shopping experience itself. Wanting to look stylish and attractive is perhaps a more popular trait in the female of the species.

Of course, some men (even though they really do not understand ‘obsessive shoe shopping’) are far more patient than others. They can see how happy it makes their partner to go around trying on different clothes or shoes and will tag along with them. This is a nice way of behaving with a woman you love, but it does have the potential to turn a little ugly. All can be fine and dandy until your lady expresses a desire to buy the latest pair of designer shoes. You know the pair I’m talking about; the ones that are four times more expensive than you would ever pay.

The bottom line is this, guys. If you are going to go out clothes or shoe shopping with your wife or girlfriend, then expect to spend some money on her! Every girl deserves a treat now and then; and besides, isn’t she worth it? Even If you think the shoes she is nuts about are ludicrously priced, you’ll do well to keep it to yourself. As long as you can afford to splash out, then it isn’t too big a problem, is it?

And if you pay for her top of the range footwear without showing your disapproval, then she’ll love you even more for it. Your lady isn’t stupid, you know. She is fully aware of how expensive these designer shoes are, but she just feels like being pampered. And buying her something pricey without looking financially wounded is one of the greatest ways there is to pamper a girl.

However, if you don’t think you are up to a footwear-browsing trip, then you can leave her to go off on her own. But perhaps you could at least offer to drop her in town and to pick her up when she’s done. Most girls will really appreciate it when if their man offers his chauffeur services every once in a while. After all, walking around shops and looking at lots of different shoes can be absolute murder on your feet...
