How to Get a Bargain on White Goods and Kitchen Appliances - By: S.Roberts

With competition for customer being fierce in electrical stores, there are always bargains to be had on white goods and cheap electrical appliances. The big electrical giants often have sales or reduce the prices of some items to get more customers into the shop, and this is good news for customers in today economic climate when we are watching every penny. So how do we shop smart and save pounds, and find cheap white goods?

The Sales
Obviously the easiest way to bag a bargain is to save your money and wait for the sales. Shops regularly have sales in the beginning of the year, shadowing the bank holidays. Buying products in the sales means that you will get a huge chunk off the price you would normally page for your white goods and kitchen appliances.

Money Off Vouchers and Discount Codes
If you are buying online, you can often find money off vouchers and discount codes advertised online. You can join mailing lists that will regularly email you when a new discount code has come into circulation, otherwise you could save a webpage of voucher codes into your Favourites bookmarks and check it when you need to buy something new.

Discount codes and vouchers often have small print attached - a best before date and a minimum spend for example. So make sure you read the small print.

Savings From Buying Online
If you have to order a few items, you can save money if you shop online. Some of the Electrical giants will wave the delivery charges if you spend over £150, great news if you were going to buy a washing machine or multiple smaller purchases, small kitchen appliances perhaps.

Buying Multiple Purchases In Store
If you are visiting a store in order to buy a few items on the same day you may be able to get yourself a discount. If the items that you are buying are not currently in any sort of promotion, and you are buying two or more considerable items, sales people can knock a bit off if you ask them if you can do a deal. The deal might mean that they throw some accessories in free of charge, or they offer you a discounted price or they offer you free delivery. Most people are a bit worried about asking if a deal can be made, but if you offer a reasonable deal the sales assistants will sometimes meet you half way.

The Sales people often can't make deals of item that are already in a promotion. This is because the sale is already cutting into the profit margins and the shop does have to make a slim profit at the very least.
