Tips to Stop Hunger Pangs
Here are some tips to help you control these annoying hunger pangs.

1. Eat smaller meals more frequently: Your body needs energy to carry out various functions such as repairing damaged tissue. Food provides the necessary nutrients and energy to the body to carry out these functions. A large meal causes an overflow effect in the body. Smaller, frequent meals provide you with the right quantity of nutrients and help to keep your appetite in control.

2. Do not skip meals: Skipping meals can actually turn your hunger pangs into irresistible cravings. Eating meals at the right time helps to replenish the nutrients required to keep the body functioning properly. When you skip a meal, these nutrients are not replenished and this results in low blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar leads to low energy levels and this makes you feel hungrier.

3. Eat those veggies: Vegetables are full of nutrients that boost health. Also, they are full of fiber, which helps to control hunger. The fiber content helps to fill up your stomach so you don’t feel hungry. Certain vegetables, such as cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach and broccoli, have very high fiber content and have negligible calories.

4. Eat spicy food: Research has shown that spicy food not only curbs hunger pangs but also helps to increase the metabolism rate. The active component in chilies and peppers, capsaicin, also has a number of other healthy properties apart from controlling the appetite. Moreover, one tends to eat less food when it is spicy as compared to when it is bland.
