How to Change a Broken BlackBerry Screen - By: Dwayne Cox

I did a substantial search all over choosing how to change a BlackBerry screen without ruining the BlackBerry device itself. Yes, my BlackBerry 8330 lost control from my desk, attack the wheel of my chair and cracked this screen! Nothing like some sort of "CrackedBerry! " I has been ticked... Anyhow... I couldn't find worth it instructions, so I thought I'd post what I recently found to work because... I figured out ways to fix it without one single scratch on the outside of my BlackBerry. Yes! But don't blame me if you scratch yours... I take no responsibility correctly. Just take your time when you do it.:) If you ever dropped your BlackBerry and cracked the screen, don't worry, you can fix it. A broken BlackBerry screen may be fixed by you! Firstly, you need to get the BlackBerry screen which suits your device. I got mine from Mobile or portable Nationwide Network . You may Google it. Make sure your BlackBerry model is utilized for the search on this website!

I ordered my parts on Thursday April, 22th and We received them on Wed April 28. Not bad, the parts even originated in China too! I paid around $6 for any new BlackBerry screen and I purchased a cool blue trackball and orange chrome outside ring for around $5. Shipping and Handling was a flat $5. So for $17, that was perfect for me. To look at received the shipment, the parts were safe within a small thick box which was protected by an envelope with bubble wrap. Most of the contents were safe within the box and arrived as ordered. I was stoked about how quickly the order came up! The screen had that protecting tape on both sides so it was in perfect condition, plus the double sided tape which exactly fit the outside the screen to secure down the brand new BlackBerry screen was incorporated! I couldn't believe it, the screen even experienced the BlackBerry logo on it! SWEET!

OK, here is the "How to swap a broken BlackBerry screen" instructions. Hardware and necessary items:

1. Small flathead screwdriver - the really small ones. The one I used was concerning 1/16" wide, but long enough to adjust to in your hand comfortably.

2. A sharp Xacto knife which has a pointed end.

3. A 3" x 3" little bit of paper cut in 5 same pieces and each folded by two.

4. The double sided adhesive tape which comes with the new BlackBerry display. Be careful with this because you'll need to remove all the pre-cut holes along with the sides are very thin... you don't want to tear it.

5. Might of AIR. You don't want any sort of dust inside before putting on the new screen.

6. An exceptionally soft cotton cloth (NO PAPER PRODUCT! It'll scuff it!) which will not scratch the top of BlackBerry screen or this BlackBerry LCD screen. You'll use this to assure there are no nasty fingerprints on the screen or accidentally on the LCD screen before gaining the new screen.

Acceptable, now you will be ready remove and replace that broken or cracked Rim screen.

1. The trick to the removal of it without totally screwing in the nice edges around that screen is by breaking heli-copter flight silver piece presents itself the screen. Use the screwdriver against the bad screen to cautiously break off the silver piece. I stuck the screwdriver in the ear slot about 1/2 millimeter and twisted and broke that silver piece off.

2. Get the folded piece of paper. That is going to safeguard your outside edges of your BlackBerry when using the screwdriver to pry in the screen.

a. I edged the folded little bit of paper under the screen where the silver piece was and used the tip of the screwdriver to pry up the edge of the screen by twisting the screwdriver. Don't push down over the screwdriver to lift that screen, it'll ruin your BlackBerry's edges close to the screen.

m. Then I slid the piece of paper over to either side which was giving away the easiest with the screwdriver and twisted ever again. I followed that pattern carefully until the top was loosened in the stickiness from the producer.

c. In that case work down the aspects... you can use other pieces of paper to hold in the screen so the work you've got done doesn't ought to be redone again. By the time you get the sides loosened the place around the keys and trackball will not have to be touched... it should lift right up. At this point, your screen should be off! '

3. It's time to verify the new BlackBerry screen fits, so take off that clear plastic protectors from each side of the new screen and make sure there is absolutely no debris where the new screen goes. Shoot it with a few air - Don't blow on it, you'll probably spit to the LCD screen. Some of you may do that. Oh, properly, your choice.

4. Once you know it fits, it's time to put the double sided video tape onto the BlackBerry primary... Do NOT put the tape on the BlackBerry screen. This is tedious to check it is placed correctly with all the cut-outs are properly in-line while using the unit and the tape is not on the LCD screen. Once it is straight down, it's not secure, you can move it slightly and once it's in the correct place... use and Xacto knife or the edge of the screwdriver to verify the tape is firmly pressed over the BlackBerry.

5. Today comes another the challenging part... Putting the Mobiles Screen on.

a. Make sure the LCD along with the BlackBerry are free associated with fingerprints and dust! Use good lighting and angle the pieces to see if there are any to remain removed. If there are fingerprints, I used scorching, moist air by opening my mouth and breathing into it, then using the soft cloth to remove it. Then I used air to blow off almost any dust particles. Recheck that BlackBerry screen and recheck that LCD when completed. Fingerprint together with Dust Free.

b. If it's "Good-to-Go" then remove the adhesive covering on this double sided tape that's already in place. This was difficult for me... I had to use the Xacto knife to lift off the adhesive covering. The tape is incredibly thin, so you'll must ensure and get all your paper. It'll come off together with you'll be left with seeing the clear adhesive to place the screen onto.

c. Now carefully place the BlackBerry Screen onto the adhesive. I started over the left side by lining up the screen with the edge in the unit, eye-ing where the screen sits near the keys and the top BlackBerry. All the even though, being careful to not to get fingerprints under this screen.

6. Properly, you should've successfully finalized changing your broken Rim Screen with scratching in place or ruining your phone and it should be as good as innovative!

Great job!

Brad They would.
