Provides good promotional materials. As a new marketer, you want to be able to simply copy and paste your affiliates promotional materials into your website or have your own ready-made affiliate link provided so that you can immediately start advertising. Find an affiliate that provides banners, emails, ezine ads, articles, and signature lines with your affiliate link provided in them.
Good Commission Payments. The goal is to break even for the time and/or ad money your spending with the commission you will receive. A 10% commission would not do this. Normally you should shoot for at least 25%.

Remember, you are promoting the affiliates products that match your niche market and customer base. This, in turn, is building your business and your own list. The place I use to search for domain names and purchase is godaddy. On their home page you can easily find the Start Your Domain Search Here box and then try a variety of domain names which most fit your brand that you're trying to build. You can try a variety of names until you find one that hasn't been taken. Look for short, easy to spell domain names. Keep it simple.
STEP FOUR
FIND A WEB HOST
Even though you're an affiliate marketer and are promoting someone else's product, you want to have your own website. You're building your own brand, providing credibility, and growing your own business. Just as important as having your own domain name, your own site brands you as the business owner, Not just an affiliate employee.
The two hosting sites I use are bluehost (quick setup and professional customer service) and godaddy (lots of internet marketing tools). As of this writing godaddy web hosting plans start out for as little as $4.99 a month. Since you aren't going to need a lot of pages starting out, this would be perfect for any affiliate business.
STEP FIVE
AUTOMATE YOUR EMAIL
You must select and use an autoresponder. This is the ATM for the Internet Marketing Affiliate. Through an auto-responder your follow-up messages are automated and can even be tracked for their customer click-thru rate. You can also broadcast messages whenever a new opportunity or important event comes up.

STEP SIX
SET UP YOUR ( MINI) WEBSITE

You only need two things on your web site: your front (landing page) which will be subscriber page, and your thank-you page.

Your front page will have a strong headline, some bullet benefits, and a subscribe form for the autoresponder you've chosen. The subscribe form itself is provided by whichever autoresponder company you joined in the previous step. You have to use the one they provide for best results.
The second page you need is a thank you page to thank people for subscribing to your e-mail series. You should make an endorsement here for your first lead affiliate product. A short endorsement should then end with a link to the affiliate sales letter on the affiliate managers' server.
