Sometimes going on a cycle drive can be more gratifying than anything. You feel waves of exalt and excitement, and you keep accelerating while your adrenaline levels rise more and more. But a risk-less motorcycle drive involves skill. When we become skilled it makes us feel happy and proud and we’re dying to be the best. That’s the main ground to why we drive motorbikes. That’s also the reason to why we sometimes push over the limits and that gratifying sensation turns into a motorbike crash. In this article I’m going to speak about avoiding motorbike crashes while keeping the thrill and excitement to the upper limit.

First, check your bike before you drive it. I assume you take good care of your cycle; it's your baby, besides your girlfriend. Verify your lights, your mirrors, horn, signals, oil, fuel, controls and don’t forget the tires. Put on your armor and helmet and prepare to drive.

Motorcyclists get into crashes often times because they lose hold of their motorcycle. Loss of control happens most of the times due to ground surface conditions and shunts. If you leave enough space between you and the vehicles in front and behind, you’ll avoid most shunts. With surface condition it’s different, because sometimes you can see the mud or oil leaks along the ground and other times you can't. Yet, you have clues for some of these. If there are motor trucks on the road there could be diesel spills, if you see construction sites there might be mud. Driving in tough weather condition is elusive enough so you better have your tires on a good pressure level or you could become a new youtube motorbike crashes superstar.

Passing other vehicles is another challenge for any motorcyclist; you should be able to evaluate the speed and distance while utilizing a motorbike that you’re used to. With a different motorcycle you should take time to determine how it reacts to breaking and acceleration in different gears. Try to prevent passing other cars when you're near joints, pedestrian crossings and bends. For each overtake you need to view everything around you so don’t presume the route is empty ahead. Drive cautiously on country routes. You most likely did your training on a town road. Some bends tighten up to a greater extent than you'd expect so slow down before the turn.

Communicate with the other drivers and avoid spots where people can't see you. A motorbike crash can happen easily just because a truck driver couldn't see you. Use visible clothing and a headlight. Motorcycle riding is a risky sport and you should put some effort if you want a risk-free ride. No pain no gain. Only as long as you do it, you’ll get the satisfaction of riding at minimum risk with zero motorbike crashes.
