How one can Determine if ever the Closet Doors are Well Made - By: Jenna Jones

A closet is a small and enclosed space in a room which can be used for general storage or for hanging clothes. A well built closet will be able to last for a long time. There are antique closets made from way back to 500 years ago which may be displayed in a museum but are still as functional as the most modern pieces. When the hottest pieces only last for a year or two at the most, how these antiques can last so long with their closet doors in good running order which makes us strange.

Modern closets and doors do not have similar type of craftsmanship in comparison with those which were handmade. Today, the first things that give out are the closet doors although the closets are attractive and expensive. You will find some that within a few weeks of purchase, the doors either hang unfastened or they just fall out.

When looking for the best closets always test the doors, be they bifold closet doors, caf? style, mahogany, laminated or plastic. Be careful for these things while inspecting:

- Uneven or misaligned doors

- Door attchments are loosely screwed

- Delicate door attachments

- Plastic based attachments

- Not Right materials utilized for door attachments

- Abrasion marks left by the underside edge of the doors on the flooring of the closet

The following thing to be executed is to truly test out the doors:

- Open and shut the doors quite a few times and notice whenever they misalign or open if they are intended to stay closed.

- If you'll find locks, test the doors if they're poorly constructed doors where the door needs to be lifted with the foot to align it for a successful locking.

- Try slamming the doors a number of times, although not enough to destroy it in the store, and see how they act on their hinges and attachments. If the hinges and attachments are wobbly, it would show after three or four slamming.

The last thing to find is how the doors actually look on the closet. Take a step back, take a look at the doors and be careful for the even margins or edges. There is a misalignment somewhere if one door looks too flushed into the closet as compared to the other.
