Unfortunately, a small amount of institutions are not very ethical and it is always a good idea to look into their business practices thoroughly. A common question people interested in equity release have is "What if I have bad credit?" Fortunately for people with bad credit, credit does not play any role in this business whatsoever! Equity is value your home has built up, you already own it. You are doing nothing but simply cashing in on it. You can use the money for whatever you like.
