For any new busienss startup, time is the most valuable resource there is. This is especially true when it's a home based, network marketing business and you'll see why this is so in just a moment.

How you use your time will dictate your level of business success or, for that matter, failure.

These are the only 3 ways you can use your time. Learn to maximize this most precious resource to get the most from your business building efforts.

Here are the 3 things you can do with your time:

- Invest it
- Spend it
- or Waste it

Keep your workday in mind when reviewing the following examples of how your time can be used.

invest time in your education. Investing in your education is the best use of your time.

The biggest reason why most new network marketers will fail is because of a lack of practical business building skills. Skills necessary to build a business might include communication, marketing and writing good sales letters or ads .

Make at least a small invest of time every day to develop your business building skills. Nobody was born an expert at anything. You'll only become expert by investing time into developing the skills needed.

When a person makes an invest of either money or time they're doing so with the expectation of a higher value payoff at some point in the future. Your network marketing success tomorrow depends on an invest of your time today.

Next up is the spending of time. We all have to spend a certain amount of our time so make sure you're spending yours wisely.

Some examples of spending time will include sorting and responding to email or dealing with necessary business paperwork.

It's impossible to use every bit of your time during the day at maximum efficiency. Some portion of time must be spent, there's just no way around it. Just make sure you spend time wisely and you'll be OK.

Third on the list is wasting your time. The reason why most people fail in their network marketing business is because most people waste way too much of their time.

Examples of wasting time include pursuing people who are not good, qualified prospects for your business, surfing the internet aimlessly or making personal phone calls during working hours.

Let me remind you that these examples of using your time relate to your workday schedule. We all need to make life a little fun and there is plenty of time at night and on weekends to engage in fun, time wasting activities.

As human beings it's impossible to always use all of our time wisely. All I'm suggesting is that you jealously guard and wisely use the time you have during your workday.

Additionally, these may very well be the most important words you'll ever read as it relates to succeeding in your MLM business: never, freely give your precious time away to just anybody.

Building up a network of business minded distributors is your key to MLM success. Your own success will come about by working with others to become successful themselves.

Make sure those people you choose to work with are serious about building a business of their own. Nothing will drive you to failure more quickly than working with tire kickers. They will sap your energy faster than any other single thing.

Help to pull somebody towards success? Yes. Push them there? No way.
