How To Produce Website Traffic - By: ArticleSubmit Auto

Publishing your first website or blog can be pretty exciting. You can tell your friends and family, and you can open yourself up to a whole new world of expression. But a few days or weeks later, when the thrill wears off, it can be pretty depressing to check your logs to find you're only getting about five unique hits per day.

Getting your site published is only the first step. Now you've got to promote your site, so more people will know about it and come take a look. Or if you are selling some kind of product, you can get the word out so interested people can come take a look. You can do this different ways, and most of them are free. In this article you'll learn a few of the basic ones.

The first way is through article marketing, just like on this site. You write an article relating to your topic, and the article sites, like this one, will let you put a link back to your site in the bottom. People will come to sites like this, read articles like yours, and then be interested to read more. They'll click the link on the bottom, and you've got a new visitor. The more articles you write, and the more article sites you submit your article to, the more visitors you'll get. If you write three or four articles a week, that can turn into some substantial traffic over time.

One more simple and free way to promote your site is through social networking. There are plenty of social networking sites out there you can join. Simply create an account, put up some content related to your site, and start networking. Make friends, and ask other people to be friends with you. After a while, you'll have a pretty large group of people to promote your site to.

Another great source of to get visitors is Twitter. You can generate quite a number of followers over time, even if you are just starting out. Simply look for and follow people that are interested in the same things you are, and they will tend to follow you back. Before you know it, you'll have plenty of followers that you can promote your site to.

Of course, if you want to skyrocket your traffic, you can go the paid route. Depending on what your site is about, you can get some traffic for relatively cheap, at around three or four cents per click. You'll need to sign up for Google adwords and create some ads. Whenever somebody clicks on one of your ads, you get a visitor to your site. Be careful, though, unless you are sure how much money you'll make per visitor, Google ads can get pretty expensive.

These are just some of the basic ways to promote your site. The more you get involved, you'll find there are plenty of other methods to draw visitors to your site.
