Marketing your hypnotherapy practice is actually really simple; most hypnotists just mess it up! 1: Attack of the Hideous Website

I've studied more hypnotherapist's websites in my time than I would care to count, and they all look like they were uploaded from the same free multi-purpose template. Most truly are dreadful! The few who do have good websites have often spent thousands on dollars getting one custom built, which is my opinion is daylight robbery!

Here's how to create a professional website that gets clients and gets featured high on google for pocket change: Use a simple free platform like wordpress with a clean, picture - focused theme, and host it on your own website. This can cost less than $10/month and requires little more technical skill than sending an email.

2: Don't Sell Hypnosis - Sell Yourself, and Sell Results (this is HUGE)

This is something I've noticed time and time again when looking at the few hypnotherapist marketing websites that I can actually read. They spend their whole time selling hypnosis! Explaining why it's a safe and benign process, how effective it is and such like. Most hypnotists for some reason feel compelled to do this, but why? You don't see supermarkets espousing the value of food, or doctors promoting the power of western medicine.

The fact is if someone has taken the time to look for a hypnotherapist, they are ALREADY convinced about the power of hypnosis. A few lines on this won't hurt, but dedicating 95% of the website or advertising to this as most hypnotists do is a huge mistake.

3: Get a commitment NOW

People are terrible procrastinators, if you don't give them a reason to act now and take action this second, far too many will just put it off. Prove yourself as a sought after authority figure, and don't chase the clients, let them come to you. As you do this you not only increase your credibility, but you makes yourself a scarce resource. Show potential clients that if they don't book now, they may not get another opening for a very long time.

With these three tools you're well on your way, but if you really want to clamber above the masses and stand out from the crowd you need a solid, reliable system that is guaranteed to bring in results.
